Apr 1: Mark White, Jane Adams, and Sourdough Bread!

Today we’re celebrating: April Fool’s Day, Lupus Alert Day, and National Sourdough Bread Day.

April 1st is a day when even the most serious among us unleash their inner pranksters. From whoopee cushions strategically placed to fake lottery tickets, the creativity knows no bounds.

Lupus Alert Day encourages education, support, and advocacy to improve early detection, treatment, and ultimately, the quality of life for those suffering with lupus.  Lupus is an autoimmune disease where the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissues and organs, leading to inflammation, pain, and tissue damage.  For more visit the Lupus Foundation of America:  https://www.lupus.org/lupus-awareness-month

National Sourdough Bread Day is a wonderful celebration of that tangy, chewy goodness we call sourdough.

April awareness month includes:  Financial Literacy Month; Global Astronomy Month; International Amateur Radio Month; Alcohol Awareness Month; Donate Life Month; National Volunteer Month; and Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
