Actor David Harbour who was was born in White Plains, NY 49 years ago. He’s appeared in over 60 movies and TV shows. Some of his better-known roles include: playing Dracula in Awake; the villain in Seth Rogen’s Green Hornet remake; Santa Clause in Violent Night; the title character in 2019’s Hellboy; and of course the hit Netflix series Stranger Things. Katrina Leskanich was born in Topeka, Kansas today in 1960. Katrina was the founding member and “name” for the band Katrina & the Waves. The band formed in 1982 and is best known for their 1985 hit Walking on Sunshine which has been featured in several movies and TV commercials.
Olivia Brown was born today in 1960. Brown’s first break in acting came when she was cast in 48 Hours with Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte in 1982. In the 80s Brown was best known for playing Detective Trudy Joplin on 111 episodes of Miami Vice. She’s had appearances on several TV shows and movies since including: Designing Women, 7th Heaven; Lois & Clark; and Beverly Hills 90210. Most recently she costarred in the family friendly movie Blue Lightning.
Orlando Jones was born in Mobile Alabama today in 1968. Jones was an original cast member on Mad TV from 1995-2007. He’s had leading roles in several movies including: the 2000 remake of The Replacements; Bedazzled; and was hilarious alongside David Duchovny, Julianne Moore, and Seann William Scott in Evolution.

1993 – Depeche Mode’s album Songs of Faith and Devotion knocked The Bodyguard Soundtrack from number one. This album was a new sound for Depeche Mode with more guitars and a kind of grunge-like sound and look. I Feel You and Walking In My Shoes were part of their recent tour.
The movie Newsies with Christian Bale, Bill Pullman, and David Moscow premiered in US theaters in 1992.
Madonna played her first show of her first tour tonight in 1985. The crowd in Seattle were not happy with the opening act; the Beastie Boys.
The horror movie Sleepwalkers opened today in 1992. This was the first movie written by Steven King that wasn’t based on one of his books.
The album Sonic Temple from The Cult released today in 1989.
